The following facilities are already existing and are well maintained at AF
School for imparting good quality education to the wards of air warriors.

ACTIVITIES

CURRICULUM & METHODS

Emphasis is laid on adopting the play-way method of teaching. Children are encouraged to express themselves by using techniques such as paper cutting, clay moulding, storytelling, drawing and painting. Outdoor and extra-curricular activities are given due importance. Various teaching aids i.e. charts, models, video films, toys etc. are used to make teaching more effective & permanent.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

The school follows the syllabi and books prescribed by Air Force Educational and Cultural Society teachers give stress on play way method. Co-curricular activities are conducted on the basis of school calendar. Various competitions are conducted and prizes are distributed during the school annual day and sports day celebrations. All festivals like Independence Day, Teachers Day, Republic Day, Children Day and Yoga Day are celebrated in the school to bring awareness amongst the students. All the students are encouraged to participate in the programmes.

PARENT – TEACHER MEETINGS

Parent- Teacher Meetings are conducted to maintain a healthy rapport among parents and teachers. Observation records maintained by teachers on monthly basis are shown to the respective parents to know the strengths and weaknesses of their wards and suggestions are invited for their improvement. Weak students are identified and extra care is taken for their overall improvement.

PARENT – TEACHER ASSOCIATION MEETINGS

PTA’s are conducted twice a year to provide parents and teachers a mutual platform to work for the betterment of the school. It helps them to involve, discuss and solve issues pertaining to the functioning of school.

TEACHER’S WORKSHOP

Workshops being conducted by Air HQ/HQ EAC, IAF are regularly attended by all the teachers.
